The Print:

“Tradition”

This print was inspired by a dress in an ancient painting from the mid-second millennium BC in the villa at Hagia Triada (found in Women’s Work, Elizabeth Wayland Barber). The thought that women were designing their own textiles over four thousand years ago still boggles my mind and I want to celebrate the tradition of women in textiles through this print.
